There is a doctor of optometry conveniently located right next door. You can walk in without an appointment.

How much will my prescription eyeglasses cost?

Single vision eyeglasses start at $39.95. Depending on your needs and tastes, we will guide you to make decisions that are within your budget.

How can a family-owned eyeglass shop beat the competition on pricing?
When we buy eyeglasses, our goal is to get great looks for less. Eyear buys the same volume as the big mart stores, and we pass along the discounts to our customer.

Does Eyear Optical take my insurance?
We accept Medicaid, CHIPS, EyeMed, Eyetopia, Spectera and many others.


What if I have no insurance?
We’ll work with you and help you find the right glasses for your budget. In addition, we offer 0% financing for 12 months.

What designer and brand names do you carry?
Our selection of over 3,000 frames is always changing to reflect new styles and trends. A partial list of designer and brand names includes: Gucci, Fendi, Lacoste, Coach, Jimmy Choo, Hugo Boss, Banana Republic, and Vera Wang.

Are you running any special deals on eyeglasses?

Do my prescription glasses come with a warranty?
All of our glasses have a 90-day warranty. If you are not completely satisfied, we will gladly remake them to your satisfaction.

What if my frames break?
Many of our frames come with a one year warranty. If they break, with normal wear and tear, we will repair or replace them for free.**

How long will it take for my glasses to be ready?
Each store is equipped with a laboratory, and same day service is available for many prescriptions. In general, our turnaround is quick, but our emphasis is always on quality, not speed

What does “polycarbonate” mean?
Polycarbonate refers to a high performance, lightweight and thin specialty plastic used to make prescription lenses.


Which bifocals are better -- traditional or progressive?

The kind of corrective bifocal lens that enables you to see clearly and crisply is the best choice for YOU! Bifocals enable the wearer to focus far and near with one pair of glasses. Traditional bifocals have a horizontal line across the lens; progressive bifocals do not have a line. Progressive lenses have a more stylish and youthful look, and because of the craftsmanship, cost more than traditional bifocals.

Do you have eyeglasses for kids?
Yes! We are committed to healthy vision for the whole family. Recent statistics show that 1 in 4 children have vision deficit. And since impaired sight can lead to learning challenges, so it’s very important to check your child’s vision as soon he or she can recognize objects.

Do you have sports glasses?
Yes, each store offers a hand-picked collection of sports frames that are built with safety in mind. Most prescriptions can be used.
